JOHN QUINN - STATISTICAL REASONING SOUTH PAULDING HIGH SCHOOL
Teaching is a second career, but one I have always felt a calling for. I spent a lifetime in business. Several years were spent in banking. A large part was involved in researching emerging technology. And I enjoyed several years spent as the Managing Editor of a publishing company. But, ever since I was a high school student myself, I felt I should teach.
I earned an English degree from the University of Georgia, and later a History degree. My teaching career began in Language Arts at Etowah High School in Cherokee County. At Kennesaw State University, I completed a Master degrees in Secondary Education and Creative Writing.
Years later, deciding to switch disciplines, I obtained a Secondary Mathematics Education degree from Kennesaw State University, completing my student teaching at Lassiter High School in Cobb County.
I began my mathematics teaching at South Paulding High School in Paulding County before coming to Alpharetta High School.
